Cycling Event to the Faroes

The Faroes consist of 18 islands, which rise from the Atlantic like green cliffs. The population of approx. 50,000 forms a completely unique society.
Everywhere on the Faroes there is beautiful countryside, changeable weather, and varied animal life. On a bicycle you can calmly and quietly enjoy the views as you travel around the countryside. There is a wide variety of routes. Some follow the coast, others include a few hills, and there are also routes with tough stretches up the mountains and steep descents.

Last day for booking is  15 February 2022.

Pandemic
In case the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against all unnecessary travel activities  to the destination the booking can be cancelled up to planned date of departure. Paid amount will be refunded.

Programme

Day 1 – Friday  03 June 2022

Arrange your own transport to CPH, from where we fly with Atlantic Airways flight no. RC 453 at 12:25 hours and land on the Faroes at 13:40 local time.
44.46 km of cycling, including 1,368 metres vertical rise. Accommodation and Fish buffet at the hotel.

Day 2 – Saturday 04 June 2022

98.17 km of cycling, including 2,138 metres of vertical rise.

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. 
Arrange your own evening meal.


Day 3 – Sunday 05 June 2022

79.89 km of cycling, including 1,535 metres of vertical rise.

Morning buffet and 2-course dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 – Monday 06 June 2022

Morning buffet at the hotel and checkout. Atlantic Airways flight no. RC 456 at 15:00 hours, landing CPH at 18:05 hours.

Routes and cycles

The trip is based on participants’ own racing cycles, to be transported on the flight. A cycle transport case is necessary.

The laps each day are from 45 – 100 km in naturally beautiful Faroese countryside, on hilly stretches.
